Modern university education: Eclectic chaos and conflict of values

The article provides a theoretical analysis of the features liberal model university education in process its formation, starting from ancient Greece and ending with British Oxbridge. close relationship between social elite lifestyle is shown. Definitions concepts “an intellectual” “intellectual culture” are given. It shown what characteristics make it an institution culture science factor cultural scientific leadership. substantiated that bridging gap classical vocational middle 20th century led to eclectic mix professional paradigms.
